About NeuCorr Seguros
NeuCorr Seguros is an insurance broker based in São Paulo, Brazil, formed by professionals with over 30 years of experience in underwriting, loss prevention and claims handling. We are registered with SUSEP (Brazil’s insurance regulator).
Why risks located in Brazil need a locally admitted policy
Brazil is, as a rule, a non-admitted-restricted market: risks located in the country must generally be insured by insurers authorized to operate locally by SUSEP. Placing Brazilian risks under a foreign policy alone is only possible in narrow, regulated exceptions — for instance when the coverage sought is demonstrably unavailable in the local market. In practice, this means a multinational’s global program does not, by itself, protect its Brazilian subsidiary the way it protects operations elsewhere.
The standard solution is a locally admitted policy coordinated with the global master program — commonly structured with difference-in-conditions and difference-in-limits (DIC/DIL) mechanics, so local wording gaps and limit shortfalls are picked up by the master policy. Local policies are issued in Portuguese with premiums in Brazilian reais, follow SUSEP-standardized frameworks, and claims are adjusted locally. A local broker’s role is to make that layer work: matching the local wording as closely as possible to the master program, flagging the differences that matter, and coordinating with your global broker and insurer network.
How we work with global programs
- Coordination with your headquarters’ broker and carriers — we implement the Brazilian layer of global programs, including fronting arrangements with the local affiliates or partners of international insurers.
- Reinsurance capacity — Brazil opened its reinsurance market in 2007; capacity can be added through local, admitted and occasional reinsurers. Where the local market lacks appetite, we structure placements with international reinsurance support.
- Bilingual service — policy summaries, coverage comparisons and claims reporting in English, with the underlying documentation in Portuguese as required by regulation.
- Local claims advocacy — claims on Brazilian policies are regulated and adjusted in Brazil, in Portuguese, under Brazilian law. We manage the process end to end and keep your global team informed.

How insurance brokerage works in Brazil
Insurance brokers in Brazil are licensed and supervised by SUSEP and act on behalf of the insured, not the insurer. Remuneration is typically built into the premium as brokerage commission, so engaging a broker does not add a separate fee layer for the buyer. For a foreign headquarters, a local broker provides a single point of contact for placements, renewals, endorsements and claims across all Brazilian lines — with reporting your global risk team can actually use.
